While America has become a great and prosperous nation, too many people today forget to reflect back on her humble beginnings and the cost men took to found her. If we are to live up to our American heritage, we must know to whom we owe the gift of being an American. From the Puritans and Pilgrims who first landed in the colonies, to the men who drafted the Constitution, it is clear that they founded America on Christian principles and intended her to be a Christian nation. Personal writings of the founders and original state constitutions demonstrate this fact. As Christians as well as Americans, we have a call to bring America back to the place the founding fathers wanted her to be.
