Socratic Discussion Video Posted on Classical U

I have posted the video of Grant Horner leading a Socratic discussion with a class of 10th graders at a classical school in Austin right her on ClassicalU.  Simply click the Media button above, then chose Videos.  The class is about 50 minutes long, but you can skip around.  He takes about half the class to work his way up to the topic of film--but the journey is worth it.

Ken Myers on Classical Christian Education

Some CCA veterans may remember that Ken Myers was our first banquet speaker at the CCA Christmas Banquet in December 1997.  That was Ken's first speaking engagement for classical, Christian school or organization.  Now he speaks on classical Christian education several times a year.

Learning and Leisure: Rest and Reflection at School?

Recently I was prompted to re-read a book about leisure...and learning. If you are anything like me (meaning if you are an American) you are probably so busy as to be border-line frenetic. It should not surprise us that most schools require students to be border-line frenetic too. Americans define BUSY (Is there a relation here to our success at business?).
