"Your gift  of leadership is an encouragement for a number of reasons.  One of them can be seen in this post - it is the way in which you teach us (or model) how to retain the wonder in all that we do.  Thank you for that and for…"

A Joshua Farm Reflection...

I wasn't sure where the “leadership in cultural change” series would head when we began it. So many times each of us fall into despair of our surroundings and circumstances, and never rise much beyond the energy of complaint. In a world often characterized by inactivity and passiveness, would CCA students be any different?…See More

Elite? Elitism?

Last night's meeting did not allow enough time to mention the article below, but I wanted to commend it to you.  It was written by David Goodwin, Headmaster at Foundations Academy.  I found it very thought provoking, candid, and on point. Blessings, Greg Lowe A week ago, someone asked me "what are you doing to prevent elitism in the school."  This is a complicated question to answer because I'm not sure that Christians often realize that it creates a false dichotomy.  The question assumes that…See More

Jesse Hake commented on Greg Lowe's blog post "School and Sports
"Important topic for a school full of young body-temples. I'm eager to learn more. At least one senior thesis paper deals directly with the issue of training for sports."

"School and Sports

Enjoyed a great book, and lunch with it's author today. The book is "School and Sports" A Christian Critique, by Richard A. Riesen. I hope to discuss more later, but the place of sports in a Christian school is in debate a great deal these days, and of much interest to this basketball coach! The classical conversation we are all taking part in should inform our position on sports/athletics like all other areas, and I am enjoying learning.Talk with you soon,GregSee More
