I go by Gabby. I am 44 years old and have been homeschooling my kids since birth. My husband and I fully enjoyed 10 years of marital bliss w/o kids before we decided to grow our family.  And guess what? I still find it hard to raise kids, despite having 10 years of adulting with just my husband.  I love my kids but hard is hard and, as a foster family for 9 years, I want to raise my children to understand that putting others first is genuinely hard. Also, that the fruit of that labor is sooooo sweet and worth the joy of seeing all that work create something beautiful. My son is now 12 and in 5th grade. My daughter is now 8 and in 2nd grade. I’m seeking a more restful approach to homeschooling. What I’m doing right now just isn’t working anymore. Also, if I am going to homeschool my kids, since I am reclaiming my education in the process, I’m seriously asking myself why not go deeper in my own personal enrichment. Things I love: I love stories, rich conversation,  a good book is never out of rich, I enjoy a beautiful sunny day in California. When the conditions are just right I never miss an opportunity to fly a kite outside with my kids. It’s worth stopping in our tracks to enjoy.
