Special Education Instructor
COURSES ON CLASSICALU
Angelique Chaverri holds an MSEd in special education from Missouri State University and a BA in psychology from Southwest Baptist University. Her master’s thesis was on methods of teaching reading for students at risk for reading failure. Angelique has spent the last two decades working to understand the underpinnings of learning. After initial interests in physical therapy and neuropsychology, she found her way into special education. After leaving the public school system, Angelique went into private practice where she pioneered a method of blending standardized assessment to target areas of strength and need, neurological-therapies and academic instruction to help students succeed more quickly. She has provided training for parents, schools and hospitals. One of Angelique’s passions in life is to help prepare parents for teaching their children to learn.
Angelique adores her beloved husband Jeromy, and is a homeschooling mom to two wonderful young men and enjoys being at church, her garden, traveling and family walks with the best dog in the world, Rowdy.
