Classical Homeschool Welcome
What is classical homeschooling, and is it for your family? Introducing our scholé approach.
Are You Considering Homeschooling Classically?
This two-part course is designed to welcome and equip parents who are considering or beginning the homeschool journey and to introduce them to the rich tradition of classical education.
Part 1: How to Get Started Homeschooling
In the first part, experienced homeschool guides Heather Rashall and Rebecca Richard walk alongside you as you prepare to take your first steps. You will receive encouragement and practical direction for navigating the early stages of homeschooling—from clarifying your “why,” understanding best practices, and complying with state laws to cultivating liturgical rhythms, building community, and making thoughtful curriculum and outsourcing decisions. These lessons are grounded in restful learning and contemplation, helping you shape a homeschool that is both sustainable and life-giving.
Part 2: What It Means to Homeschool Classically
In the second part, you will join additional presenters, including Dr. Christopher Perrin, for an introduction to classical education itself. This portion surveys its philosophical foundations and enduring aims, while also providing guides to practical pedagogy. You will encounter the great conversation of truth, goodness, and beauty and explore how these ideas shape teaching, learning, and assessment in the home.
