What We Provide

ClassicalU partners with experienced and trained school leaders to provide consulting services for your school or organization’s professional development plan, as well as live (web-based) teacher coaching with professional feedback for recordings of classroom instruction. Our offerings provide practical teacher coaching for yourself or professional development plan consulting and coaching for your organization.

Offering Professional Development Planning & Teacher Coaching Consultation

Jon Balsbaugh received his BA in English from The Master’s University (CA) and his MA in English from the University of St. Thomas (MN), where his academic work focused on C.S. Lewis and the theology of beauty. He has worked in classical education for over twenty-five years as a homeschool parent, teacher, administrator, conference speaker, consultant, and author. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of Veritas Journal and the owner and operator of Kairos Educational Consulting. He and his wife, Jennifer, have five children and live in South Bend, Indiana. In addition to his academic and intellectual pursuits, he enjoys fly fishing, foraging, food, and photography.

Offering Teacher Coaching Consultation

After earning his BA in Theological Studies from Eastern University, Frank Chilbert and his wife taught in Arizona at a Great Hearts Classical Charter School. Since returning to Pennsylvania in 2017, he has taught History and English at Main Line Classical Academy and has served as the principal since 2018. In 2019, he completed his Masters of Arts in Classical Education at the Templeton Honors College and has been using his degree to cultivate a culture of self-discipline and wonder among faculty and students. He also serves as Vice President of the Board at St. Justin Academy, a small, classical homeschool academy attached to his church in Souderton, PA. Some of his greatest loves include reading the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, tending a tiny, backyard vegetable garden, and hiking along the PA Appalachian Trail with his wife, three sons, and border collie.
