This is the first presentation Dr. Matthew Post introduces the course, A Brief History of Classical Education. Dr. Post explains Classical and Medieval ideas of Scholé and the relationship of Scholé with the transcendentals (truth, goodness, and beauty), especially the beautiful. Also, he gives an introductory definition of what classical education truly is and is not.
