ClassicalU Course Selection Assessment
Are you wondering where to start in ClassicalU’s course lineup?
As a classical educators and leaders trying to renew a tradition of education we did not receive (at least not well!), we all have gaps and holes in our learning and understanding of this deep and wide tradition. Therefore, please take the assessment below with candor and honesty, knowing that we all have ways to go on this journey. Your candor will help us to help you! NOTE: You can also take this assessment on our new Pathway Planner Page.
Think of this tool as an experience like sitting down with a college advisor to select the best course of study for you. In fact, it would be wise if you complete it with someone who you know and respect.
After you take this assessment, we will send you a report that includes a recommended learning Pathway–a recommended sequence of courses to take on ClassicalU that will be customized to your needs and goals.

SCORING RESULTS
A maximum score for any single category is 30 (six statements each worth a maximum of five points). In our estimation, scores under 15 indicate low understanding and skill; scores from 15-24 indicate decent or good understanding; scores from 25-30 indicate strong understanding.

This beta version of our ClassicalU Pathway Planner & Reading List can be used with your scores from the assessment above to begin planning your best starting place within our ClassicalU course selection. You can also use the assessment with our new Book Finder tool. The Book Finder will help you select the right books to read in the right order! When you complete the assessment above, we will send you an email report based on your assessment will help you plan your learning pathway on ClassicalU.
In the near future, we will develop this pathway planner further to recommend a particular sequence of courses that we think will best help you to “fill in some gaps” and grow as a classical teacher and leader.
