Hello! My name is Elisabeth, but am often called Betsy by those that know me well.  I love books and hope to be known as a curator of fine and fantastic children’s literature.  I graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2001 with a BA in Sociology.  I have a passionate love for Christ and the Catholic Church, along with all the beautiful traditions that come with an authentic life of orthodox faith. I love learning and hope to instill that love of God, faith, learning, and books in our three boys.  We live in Houston, Texas next to NASA where my husband works.  Our middle son is special needs with medical, developmental, and educational challenges.  We have homeschooled for seven years.  For six of those years we have used the Catholic Schoolhouse curriculum which is a base for the classical model. For five years, I was a director of a local chapter.  For the last few years I have been their Special and Extra Needs Coordinator and well as the Retreat Coordinator, both on the national level.  I love what I do, but recognize that I can’t pour out from a drained vessel.  I am very excited to pursue some continuing education through this program and am THRILLED that you are offering it. Thank you! And if you ever come to Houston, and would like a private tour of NASA, we would be happy to oblige (as long as there isn’t a current mission flying)!  Again, thank you for offering this program. I know that I desperately need it.
