Are your children attending or considering a classical school or co-op? In these short lessons (only 10 to 15 minutes each), Dr. Christopher Perrin invites you to consider what this educational renewal is all about. Drawing on his 25 plus years of working with classical schools and co-ops (both Christian and charter), Christopher provides a quick orientation to the principles and practices of Christian and classical education.
ParentU is a new and free resource of ClassicalU.com that contains the five short lessons below in this initial format. We also plan to invite additional contributors—including other parents—to further develop these resources for parents with more brief presentations and conversations. For Christian families, one resource that we encourage you to consider as well is the book Habits of the Household: Practicing the Story of God in Everyday Family Rhythms by Justin Whitmel Earley.
School and co-op leaders, as you consider how best these presentations might serve your communities, please note that each lesson below can also be shared and linked independently. These “lessons” can stand alone effectively as well as be a part of this full sequence in our mini-course here. We are also glad to hear from you with ideas about other formats in which we might be able to provide these resources to you and your teams for the most effective service to your schools and co-ops.
