When asked that question, the honest answer is no, not yet. I have read most of them and have read some multiple times, but Mortimer Adler wrote, edited, or contributed to more than sixty books. This is excluding all of the essays and introductions he authored or co-authored. Over the months to come, I will give very brief reviews of many of his books in hopes to entice you to consider adding them to your reading list.

If there is an Adler book or essay you would like for me to review of post a discussion prompt, let me know and it would be my pleasure to do so.

My favorite so far is “Ten Philosophical Mistakes.” It reinforces classical U lectures that talk about how the Enlightenment maybe wasn’t so enlightening.

It is certainly in my top five favorites. It would be most helpful reading in schools that think through these ideas with their students.
