I like to use her basic principles as a guide and one of my top musts is a list of great books (living books) as well as laying down the rails of good habits! If I had to sum it up, I would say our Charlotte Mason style education at home provides a gentle and enriching environment that includes a buffet of subjects and living books, encouraging a hunger for learning and intrinsic motivation of the child through a love of the Creator and all he has done and made.

  • When a foundation of faith, reason, and strong reading skills have been made I think it is time to consider and meditate on introducing other theories of science to your children. I believe it is smart to send out our arrows, whether college, trade school, or work, with some knowledge of popular theories of science. This is my opinion, based on my experience teaching for over 13 years. First, we should consider introducing the Creator to our children and the wonder of it all. Then when the rails are laid, can we consider introducing some apologetics, advocating sides and other theories. What do you say?
